On Saturday night we were booked to cater at a cracking venue in Kearstwick to do a hog roast for a local farmers ( hence the name Yakker ) 40th birthday bash – dress code was Elvis – we had slow roasted a local free range 60kg pig for 11 hrs until the meat was falling off the bone and then served it piping hot into the fresh rolls baked that morning accompanied with our homemade stuffing and apple sauce. They event organiser had made some of their own side dishes which we’d agreed to serve from our buffet table and after serving seconds and even thirds we left hog roast Kearstwick with the host belting out a rendition of ‘ Suspicious Minds ‘ to the rapturous delight of the biggest group of Elvis lookalikes we have ever catered for !!
