Birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and pregnancy milestones are all wonderful excuses to gather your nearest and dearest – but let’s be honest, you don’t really need an excuse to have a party. Sometimes, a sunny afternoon and a cool drink in your hand are reason enough to bring the gang together.
That’s exactly what Siobhan did last weekend. With nothing on the calendar except glorious weather, she decided it was the perfect time to host a back garden bash. Out came the garden furniture, up went the fairy lights, and the outdoor bar was stocked to the brim with boozy treats for the grown-ups, soft drinks for the little ones.
And of course, no garden party is complete without some show-stopping food! Siobhan had heard glowing reviews about Hog Roast Lake District, so she decided to leave the cooking to us – and we were more than happy to help her throw the ultimate no-fuss feast!
Siobhan was pleasantly surprised at how affordable our catering was, especially considering she didn’t have to lift a finger. Our Hog Roast Lake District catering crew handled everything from setting up our serving stations and prepping the BBQ to serving guests and tidying up afterward. All Siobhan had to do was enjoy the day.
The menu? Mouth-watering. Our handmade BBQ beef burgers were a huge hit, served up in gluten-free and wholemeal buns with melted cheese and a DIY condiment bar. Let’s just say second helpings were a must. Guests also couldn’t get enough of the sizzling sausages, Thai chicken kebabs, sticky spareribs, and our delicious meat-free burgers and grilled vegetable kebabs for the vegetarians and vegans.
To round things out, we tossed up some fresh salads, creamy coleslaw, and a mix of crispy sweet potato and classic fries. Plates were piled high, bellies were full, and the only thing louder than the kids laughing was the sound of someone going back for “just one more rib.”
