Recently, Hog Roast Bothel was contacted by Elizabeth and her fiancé Tom, to discuss catering arrangements for their big day. Their wedding was not taking place until May, but the couple were eager to get their date booked and their menu confirmed to give themselves one less thing to worry about. The reception was going to consist of 120 guests, including guests of all ages and some with dietary requirements to consider. Elizabeth had looked at Hog Roast Bothel’s catering menus online and thought that our ‘Introduction to Wedding Catering’ seemed like the perfect menu for the occasion.
Our ‘Introduction to Wedding Catering’ includes two meat dishes and a vegetarian option. Elizabeth selected the slow-roasted hog and spit-roasted English lamb, as well as halloumi and vegetable skewers for meat-free guests. The main dishes are accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, mint sauce, apple sauce, and tasty Yorkshire puddings. For the side dishes, the Hog Roast Bothel team will prepare pasta salad, gourmet coleslaw, and tomato and mozzarella salad. As well as salad dishes, the guests will enjoy delicious roasted baby new potatoes.
To finish the menu, the guests will enjoy the delicious wedding cake provided by the couple, accompanied by fresh fruit and English cream. This is a wonderful dessert and is customary for the reception, providing a great opportunity for a drinks service or toast. Our team can’t wait to cater for this occasion!
