DECEMBER 2010

The Spitting Pig Northern team has had a busy few weeks with this weekend being one – we provided a hog roast at a Christmas Fair in Silsden and with the temperature at sub-zero we quickly attracted a crowd and the pig seem to disappear in front of our eyes as it was a welcomed treat on such a bitterly cold day. Then we’ve been to visit a bride -to -be and family in West Cumbria and took a selection of our canapés for them to sample as we find visiting a prospective wedding client is a great way of introducing key members of the team and explaining the standard of service that we provide which leads to us leaving as with this case a confirmed menu choice and price and a happy customer that is now confident that on their most important day the catering is in the hands of a professional team.

December seems to be a popular month in 2010 for weddings as we are attending a few over the next couple of weekends in Broughton-In-Furness and at Newby Bridge and as well as our team being busy so is our hire division with a couple of prestigious hotel groups in Barrow-In-Furness and in the Langdales requiring one of our hire packages for a wedding and for a corporate function which includes the hire of a machine and equipment with a whole pig locally sourced which will be prepped by one of our experienced team members and this then only leaves our hiring clients to cook and carve their chosen meats.
