The end of the year finished in spectacular style with us providing an evening hog roast for a wedding on the shores of Lake Windermere this might sound idyllic but not when you factor in that we were surrounded by deep snow – catering van stuck !! – and minus 6 degrees but as they say ‘ the show must go on ‘ and it made it all worthwhile when the bride and groom told us it was the highlight of their day and praised us for the quality of food and service they then thought they were jetting off to a Caribbean island for their honeymoon only to be told that Heathrow had cancelled all its flights due to the adverse weather !!!!. at least we got home that night.
No sooner that the New Year begins we are off to cater for a wedding this weekend in Birkenhead followed by a private party in Carlisle and a christening in Carnforth so it looks like there won’t be any ‘ rest for the wicked ‘ this year as it has started off with a bang and hopefully looks like continuing . I am off to collect a pig just now but with the rate it is snowing at the moment that might prove a harder task than usual !
