Easter is a great time to gather with your community and enjoy a great meal together, as well as an afternoon of fun and entertainment. At Hog Roast Ireby, we have over 7 different catering menus for you to choose from, including this delicious choice!
Every year, Marie hosts an Easter event at the community centre that she manages. The event includes something for guests of all ages, with an egg hunt, a visit from the Easter bunny, and a delicious meal. For the last few years, Hog Roast Ireby has been hired to cater for the occasion and we have once again been hired for 2024. Marie knows that our catering is delicious and our team are reliable, so why look elsewhere? For the menu, we were asked to serve a classic hog roast, with a few additional dishes to create a family-friendly and filling afternoon buffet.
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Ireby team will arrive at the community centre in the morning and prepare for the 3:00pm serving time. We will set up our catering station on the neighbouring field, with a marquee on standby if the weather is rainy. The star of our menu is the delicious slow-roasted hog, which will be cooked to perfection on the day of the event. Once ready, it will be expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we will be providing succulent pork sausages and veggie sausages to create hot dogs with a selection of condiments available. The mains will be accompanied by homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, corn cobettes, and a green leaf salad, creating a varied and nutritious afternoon meal. The Hog Roast Ireby team is looking forward to catering for this event and being part of what is always a great afternoon!
