Areas We Cover

Here in the north we are known for our weird and wonderful love for food and drink, the town of Grasmere is world famous for its gingerbread created by Sarah Nelson who uses her highly top secret recipe to make sweet, spicy blend, the Cumbrian town of Kendal is the birthplace of the Kendal Mint Cake, which was created by Joseph Wiper in 1869 by mistake and has reached the top of Mount Everest as its high energy content is perfect for mountaineers, and finally Ullswater and Cartmel were put on the map for their delightful Icky Sticky Toffee Pudding which was created in the 1970s by Francis Coulson, it’s so highly in demand that the staff members are sworn to secrecy about the recipe. Here at Hog Roast Cartmel we know you don’t skimp when it comes to food and with years of experience, carefully chosen ingredients and well trained service staff, we ensure a 5 star food service for your corporate, wedding or private event.

Whether it’s potatoes, salads or vegetables, we have the perfect addition to your Hog Roast menu, and if you can’t find the perfect menu for you then make sure you give us a call and we’ll try our very best to make sure we can accommodate – even if you’d like to add a traditional Lancashire Hotpot (lamb & onion topped with sliced potatoes), a panackelty (casserole dish consisting of corned beef and root vegetables) or even the famous peppery Cumberland sausage, we will try our very hardest to make sure your event is as amazing as you imagined it!

Tea, dinner or supper? The whole of the UK are divided on what is the right phrase for our evening meals, with the North of the UK most likely to say ‘tea’ rather than ‘dinner’ and the South most likely to say ‘dinner’ rather than ‘tea’. Here at Hog Roast Cartmel we don’t mind what you call it (even if you call it din-dins) we’ll cook you up a feast, we’ll put on a spread and allow you to chow down on our legendary Hog Roast Rolls, with extra juicy stuffing and the crispiest crackling around!

Below are a list of the locations we have covered within our years of being Hog Roast specialists, if you cannot see your town on the list please still give us a call as we should still be able to provide our services for you. We’ll reach to the highest village in the UK also known as Flash which reaches a staggering altitude of 1,519ft, the highest peak called Scafell Pike at 3,208ft, or even the steepest road located at Hardknott Pass in Eskdale – no height or steepness will scare Hog Roast Cartmel away!
