Hog Roast Whitehaven Celebrated A 40th Birthday At A Lakeside Hotel

Hog Roast Whitehaven recently heard from Sara, who had reached out to us to discuss plans for her husband Ryan’s 40th birthday party. With it being such a special occasion, the client had wanted to surprise him with an evening he’d never forget; and so, she had secretly booked a function hall at a lakeside hotel, as well as a room with a view for the couple to stay in once the party was over.

Knowing how much Ryan loves hog roasts and having heard that Hog Roast Whitehaven is the best in the area, she was keen to have our team handle the catering for the event, and we certainly didn’t disappoint!

Then, after much deliberation, she decided on our formal Hog Roast Dining Experience, which offers: a canapĂ© selection, two main course options, a meatless alternative for veggies and vegans, side dishes and two gorgeous desserts. Our catering team all agreed that it was the perfect choice for the occasion, which made Sara even more excited for the day.

The days and weeks flew by, and the excitement among the guests began to grow, but somehow, everyone managed to keep schtum about the surprise party so that on the day, Ryan was none the wiser. When he and Sara arrived at the venue, he had assumed it was for a weekend getaway, so when Sara led him into the party hall where his friends and family readily shouted ”surprise!”, he was speechless!

Hog Roast Whitehaven had set up in the back corner of the hall several hours earlier, and as the guests arrived, our servers had greeted them with bite-sized delights, which were the perfect prelude to the main meal. Ryan was so amazed by the feast laid before him and was particularly impressed by the free-range hog roast, which was complemented by freshly made salads, seasoned market vegetables and roasted potatoes. The cheesecake and profiteroles were the perfect way to end the meal, which had left everyone in a great mood as the night came to a close.
