In preparation for the Easter half term, Lisa is in the process of organising a family-friendly event to take place at the community centre she manages. The centre is based in the North of the UK and often hosts events for local people to enjoy, including coffee morning, craft groups, sports games, and more. For half term, Lisa wants to host an event that can be enjoyed by the whole family, with activities for children and parents to enjoy. Alongside the entertainment, Hog Roast Barrow-in-Furness has been hired to cater for the occasion, which is sure to go down a treat. For the catering, our manager James discussed several options with Lisa. It was decided that our Gourmet BBQ menu would be ideal since it includes many different dishes and will be ideal for enjoying while making the most of the entertainment.
In preparation for this event, James and the Hog Roast Barrow-in-Furness team will arrive at the community centre in the morning and set up our catering station on the sporting field. For the menu, we will begin by barbequing the main dishes, including succulent pork sausages, veggie sausages, halloumi and vegetable skewers, British beef burgers, marinated chicken kebabs, and BBQ spareribs. These dishes will be served in fresh bread rolls, with gluten-free rolls also on offer. Additionally, we will be serving homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, corn cobettes, and a variety of seasonal salad dishes.
