There are many events around the UK yearly for companies to showcase their machinery, equipment and vehicles that can help industries such as construction and farming as well as areas involving structural engineers. Most of the designs make their work more efficient and provide faster turnarounds and are therefore desirable products. Maria had enquired for Hog Roast Arnside to cater for her company and their potential future clients. The smell and temptation of free food would entice people onto her company’s section which results in more views of their equipment and consequently more interest with buyers.
It was an early start with Maria having a first demonstration show at 8:30am. To get the crowds in for the show, Hog Roast Arnside served simple but yummy breakfast baps. The joyous smell of butcher smoked back bacon and Cumberland sausages sizzling away on the BBQ filled the air and encouraged a fantastic 72 people to come and view the first demonstration show. Many of the crowd came and enjoyed either a soft or crusty roll with the filling of their choice topped with breakfast must-haves ketchup or/and brown sauce. To go with the warming baps, Hog Roast Arnside was serving hot drinks which was certainly welcomed in the cold. Since the hot drinks were being served throughout the day, as a kind gesture, Hog Roast Arnside provided a variety of biscuits for people to help themselves. Maria’s fellow employees and potential clients were particularly grateful for the biscuits in the timings between the breakfast and lunch periods. There were a lot of biscuit dunkers in the crowd!
The second show was at midday. Many of Maria’s competitors were also hosting their shows at this time. Thankfully, the word that Maria’s company had a delicious hog roast being served enticed a further 89 people. These demonstrations really are hit and miss with how many people a company can generate to attend, so 72 and 89 were pretty decent amounts, especially for the first day and in the rain!
Maria was very thankful for the friendly service and tasty food from Hog Roast Arnside and vows to have them back for future shows.
