Happy Father’s Day from all of us here at Hog Roast Barrow In Furness. No matter where you are in Northern UK, we hope you had a brilliant time celebrating the special man in your life!
As always, Father’s Day was another busy occasion for our catering team, but we had a brilliant time helping locals with their celebrations over the weekend.
On Sunday, our crew rolled up to a local pub, where owner Callum was hosting a heartfelt event in honour of the great men we all look up to. Ticket holders were treated to a whisky tasting featuring top-shelf spirits, a raffle packed with epic booze and snack hampers, and live music from a fantastic local band.
As for the food? You already know Hog Roast Barrow In Furness knocked it out of the park with our best-loved hog roast sandwiches. This meat-loving crowd cheered as they watched our chefs carve the whole pig with incredible ease. The skin snapped under the knife, falling away to reveal the perfectly juicy and tender meat within.
We worked flat-out to make sure everyone got their fill of our fresh, overstuffed rolls, loaded with melt-in-your-mouth pulled pork, golden crackling, and sage and onion stuffing slow-cooked in the pig’s own juices for that extra rich flavour. To top it off, guests could choose a dollop of our sweet homemade applesauce or go wild with a selection of sauces from the Sauce Shop range.
Keeping the side dishes simple (yet just as satisfying), we rustled up dreamy coleslaw with a lemony kick along with seasonal green leaf salad packed with fresh, colourful produce. And for the non-meat eaters? Our BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls were an instant hit, offering the same big flavours without any of the meat.
All day long, the Hog Roast Barrow In Furness team received rave reviews from the guests, who made the most of the generous portions by coming back for more and more until there was nothing but scraps.
Callum was particularly impressed with the service and value for money provided by Hog Roast Barrow In Furness and thanked our team profusely for helping to make his Father’s Day event a resounding success.
