Recently, Hog Roast Sandylands was contacted by a local pub in the North of the UK. Sam, the pub manager, was in the process of redecorating the pub and changing the interior and exterior décor. As this was such a big job, the pub had been closed for several weeks to speed up the process. To make the most of the reopening, Sam contacted our catering manager James to arrange catering for the ‘grand reopening’ that was set to take place in July. For the catering, the menu needed to be efficient to serve buffet style and include plenty of delicious dishes. After looking at our menu options, it was decided that a Gourmet BBQ was the ideal choice.
On the day of the event, James and the Hog Roast Sandylands team arrived at the pub and got to work setting up our catering station in the beer garden. Once ready, we started to grill the main dishes, including succulent pork sausages, veggie sausages, juicy British beef burgers, marinated chicken kebabs, and halloumi and vegetable skewers. The mains were served in fresh bread rolls, with a gluten-free alternative also on offer. For the side dishes, we prepared homemade chips, sweet potato fries, green leaf salad, corn cobettes, and crunchy coleslaw. This created a delicious and varied menu, with something for everyone to enjoy!
