Multi-day weddings are all the rage these days – and for good reason! Unlike traditional, one-day celebrations, which are done and dusted in the blink of an eye (or what seems like it, anyway), these extended events offer brides and grooms the chance to enjoy being in the wedding bubble for as long as possible before re-entering normality.
This also means that instead of cramming the ceremony, photo shoots, speeches, a meal, the first dance and the after party into one day, the couple can take their time, making the experience all the more thrilling.
Guests, too, love drawn-out celebrations, which gives them plenty of time to catch up with rarely-seen family members and build relationship foundations with those they’ve never met before.
So, all round, multi-day weddings are a fantastic idea, and Hog Roast Claughton is glad to see that many of our clients are drawn to the concept. In fact, just last weekend, we handled a multi-day wedding celebration for Sophia and Gordon.
After realising that they had so much to squeeze into their nuptials and that one day just wouldn’t cut it, this happy couple resolved to have a weekend-long wedding, which kickstarted on Friday night.
The venue the couple had selected for the occasion was a beautiful manor house hotel tucked away in the countryside, which had plenty of room to host the couple and their guests overnight.
Hog Roast Claughton’s job was to keep everyone fed and happy across Sophia and Gordon’s three-day celebration, and our team didn’t disappoint! Our catering manager, James, led the team through a challenging, but successful service, which saw the guests indulge in a different menu each evening.
On the first night, Hog Roast Claughton served traditional hog roast rolls to the wedding party as they caught up and discussed wedding details. For the wedding breakfast itself, our team served a stunning multi-course spread, which included canapes, two fantastic meat choices, a vegan-friendly dish, plenty of sides and two gorgeous puddings, plus a cake service to finish.
On the final day, we treated the group to our Alfresco Menu – the communal aspect of this feast went down a storm with the guests. Before we packed up and headed back to HQ, the bride and groom thanked Hog Roast Claughton profusely for ensuring each service was faultless.
