While Mother’s Day celebrations may have kept Hog Roast Grange Over Sands busy with events over the weekend, there’s no need for sympathy – we wouldn’t have it any other way!
With a passion for showcasing our culinary expertise and helping clients make their celebrations truly memorable, we see each event as an opportunity for us to shine. So, when Celine reached out to book us for a special lunch event on Sunday, catering to 100 guests, we were thrilled to be part of her plans.
As Hog Roast Grange Over Sands’ catering manager, James dove into the details, ensuring that every aspect of the menu reflected Celine’s vision and budget. And, after careful consideration, our delightful Alfresco Menu was selected – a perfect match for the relaxed, outdoor vibe of the event.
With guests enjoying a leisurely trek through the wilderness followed by a calming watercolour lesson before lunch in charming tipi tents, our menu leaned into the tranquil experience Celine intended to create.
In the hours leading up to the luncheon, the Hog Roast Grange Over Sands team worked tirelessly to prepare every aspect of the meal from scratch, ensuring that freshness and flavour were prioritised.
As guests arrived, they were greeted by the spectacular sight of charcuterie platters, brimming with Italian meats, cheeses, and artisanal breads—a feast for the eyes and the taste buds.
The highlight of the meal, however, was our namesake hog roast. With juicy pulled pork, crispy crackling, sage and onion stuffing, and homemade applesauce nestled within gluten-free rolls, each bite was a firework of flavours. Accompanied by side salads, mixed fries, and coleslaw, it was a feast fit for royalty.
As for the vegetarian and vegan guests, our grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs with tzatziki dip and flatbreads offered an equally delightful alternative, ensuring that every diet was catered to with care and creativity.
Before the event ended, Hog Roast Grange Over Sands had one final treat for the guests: dessert! Our decadent profiteroles and fruity summer puddings with cream were the perfect end to a perfect meal.
